Overview of Features

2-way communication mechanism

IRIS enables Station Staff, Control Centre and Managers to communicate on any issue related to Journeys, via the app, the incidents can be Darwin initiated or incidents raised by a team member, incident conversations are linked to Journeys, therefore ensuring the correct information can be given to customers

Passenger Assistance Request

IRIS can be used to manage Passenger assistance requests from station to station, the request is linked to the actually journey the passenger is taking and the alighting station is alerted when the passengers journey is due at their station.

Fully Customisable Interface

Users can control how they see the app, by selecting the customisable feature to suit there preference and device. Option are available for a dark and light view, larger text and additional Colour Blind support.
The app has been designed with selected colours and symbols to support any staff with visual impairments.


Data Security

The app has been designed with 3 levels of security, Management, Control Centre and Staff, this ensures that management control the app and manage the data, so data cannot be removed by staff error.
The management security level also control staff access to the system.

Integrated Passenger Counts

Utilising station or platform level People Counters, the app displays the number of people currently on a platform in real-time.
